Better relating
Not understanding ourselves, the perspective of where someone is at:
emotionally
literally
or otherwise
causes fundamental issues such as misunderstanding and assumptions about where the other person is ‘coming from’ and actually are addressing.
All of which contributes to not connecting to what truly matters, what's being conveyed, or maybe being asked of you.

Sharing a reflection from a situation that just ‘happened’ and I was a part of.
PS. This makes me wonder if we actually know, and are able, to communicate from our truth in ways that connect and unite, instead of both sides having their own experience of what happened and just settling with the possibility of being understood
