The Same Cloth, Different Paths: Despair, Breakthroughs, and Learning We Are Not Alike
Despair, a frequent companion on the spiritual path.
It arrives after a breakthrough: after a major shift in how I perceive reality.
The shift itself challenges my conscious awareness by offering a more complete puzzle, almost as if to ask whether I can accept it, or fall into its grasp: trapped, only to be released once this "new" reality has been accepted: digested; becoming what is, as it is, changing my worldview once again.
And once the process of integration is complete, the reality I knew becomes a vague memory; a record of a history that no longer feels like mine.
Still, I'm reminded of why I despaired as I continue moving through reality, seeing the world through new lenses.
It's clear that consciously evolving is the only path for me.
Another struggle I face is remembering: and truly taking to heart: that we are all built the same, yet we are not alike.
So much so that we are strangers to each other. Literally.
We carry different stories, different roles, different metaphysical objectives; all of which require us to be built in unique ways.
We share the same Way, but our paths differ. Our missions demand specialized skillsets, tools, and understanding.
I have been speaking as if everyone else holds, or needs, the same understanding of reality as I do, shares my goals, or wrestles with the same metaphysical hardships.
Yet there has always been a part of me that wants mankind to reach its full potential. And so I believed that all I achieved, everyone else could too.
We may all be cut from the same cloth, but it is our conscious evolution and our paths that make us who we are; and lead us to choose what we become and what we experience.
I need to reflect more on this going forward.
